CUSTOMS
With
the advent of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with customs, there have
been tremendous changes in the concept of customs clearing of goods in
Mauritius. In order to keep pace with this major technological
development, Jet - Freight has introduced new facilities to give its
customers the choice between :
1. A "partial
service" which consists essentially in the processing of Bills of
Entry at customs through the EDI TradeNet System to which the
company is connected 24 /24 hours and
2. Fully integrated clearing
and delivery services which include, but not limited to, application for
import permit, intervention towards shipping and airline agents ,
customs formalities, warehousing, distribution and inland transport.
Our customs clearing department handles on a
daily basis the clearance of all kind of commodities through the
sensitive and many-sided Customs procedures. This service allows the
importer, for what is essentially a very economical price, to utilize our
expertise with clearance, classification of duty rates, paying the
carriers freight or terminal charges, and final delivery to their
facility.
Any special entries, from ATA carnets to
duty-free entries via quota entries can be handled by any of our branch
offices at Port Louis, Plaisance Airport or Quatre Bornes inland
business centre.
